Work With Victoria
Consultations, Curatorial Advisory & Mentorship
Conversation has always been central to my practice.
Throughout my career—as a curator, writer, researcher, and arts professional—I have worked alongside artists, collectors, institutions, and independent organisations in developing exhibitions, publications, collections, and long-term creative projects. Those conversations have shaped my understanding of contemporary practice and continue to inform the way I work today.
I offer consultations for individuals and organisations seeking an experienced, independent perspective. Some conversations begin with a single artwork, an exhibition proposal, or an artist statement. Others develop into ongoing collaborations as projects evolve over time.
Each consultation is an opportunity to think carefully, examine ideas critically, and consider new possibilities. My role is not to prescribe a direction, but to ask thoughtful questions, offer informed observations, and contribute the perspective that comes from more than three decades of working across the visual arts.
My Practice
Curating is, for me, an act of inquiry.
It begins with close observation, thoughtful research, and a willingness to remain open to complexity. Whether working with artists, collections, archives, or exhibitions, I am interested in the relationships between ideas, objects, histories, and place.
The same approach informs my consultations.
Rather than focusing solely on outcomes, I am interested in helping artists and organisations articulate what is essential within their work. Together we examine process, intention, context, and presentation, creating space for considered reflection as well as practical decision-making.
Every practice has its own rhythm and trajectory. My role is to meet you where your work is now and contribute to its continued development with honesty, curiosity, and care.
Who I Work With
I work with artists at all stages of their practice, alongside curators, writers, collectors, galleries, museums, universities, artist-run initiatives, and cultural organisations.
Whether you are preparing your first exhibition or reflecting on decades of practice, consultations are shaped by the questions that matter most to you.
